    Summer Essay Prompt

Write a two to five page response to your choice book. The topic is “What makes this book worth studying as part of great British or American literature?”

The College Board provides a list of possible books to use for each open response question, but also says that students can use "another work of comparable literary merit suitable to the topic."  What works are comparable?
